South Asian foreign policy of the Barack Obama administration

For purposes of U.S. foreign policy, South Asia consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.[1] The Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs was Nisha Desai Biswal.
